Designed as an “Enterprise Service Delivery Platform” (ESDP), 6thSpace provides system integrators, enterprise IT providers and third party developers the tools necessary to transform and repurpose vast existing enterprise content into new products and services.
6thSpace the product, consists of two fundamental components; a ubiquitous rich client client designed to run on desktop, mobile, and set-top devices and an enterprise-grade server stack based on a Services Oriented Architecture. The client user experience is centered around the concept of dynamic content “channels” oriented in a 4×3 grid framework. The channels can represent any form of digital content, complex logic or activation function and interoperate through an Identity Management service. The channels are workflow and event enabled. While 6thSpace channels may appear similar to “widgets” they are in fact, secure, fully functional applications that operate identically on any device.
Developer6™ is an integrated 6thSpace channel development ecosystem designed from the ground up to be the developers central application development environment. Developer6 is a complete IDE with an integrated code editor, content repository, commerce engines, project management features and interactive developer community for the design, development, maintenance and commerce of channels. It is designed to foster broad developer community take-up while enabling multiple end-state delivery models - e.g., privately hosted infrastructures. The developer and end-consumer/end-user are always connected through the 6thSpace Channel Catalog.
The 6thSpace business model is designed to expand revenue opportunities for independent developers, SI’s, application providers, telco’s and hardware providers through an OEM model.
